The short answer: why wouldn't you--you don't have to pay for it if don't want.
Most plans automatically allow dependents on the plan. As an employer you have no obligation to contribute to dependent premiums. So if you choose a health insurance plan with dependent coverage you do not have to make contributions towards it, even if you make contributions towards your employees’ coverage.
