I wrote this article to inform clients in the state of Maryland that yes you do have alternative healthcare options versus the state ran program through Maryland Health Connection.
As a broker I hear about the struggles everyday regarding the rising costs of health insurance in each state. Premiums and deductibles are rising every year and networks are shrinking making it harder to find a Doctor/Facility that will be in the network.
The problem with healthcare plans offered through the State Exchanges is these plans offered are income based so many families might not qualify for a tax credit.
These same plans at full price can be anywhere from $600-$1300 a month; maybe higher depending on the age and how many household members are on the policy.
If you’re healthy meaning no major Pre-Existing conditions and you don’t qualify for a tax credit our brokerage has a great private PPO option for you.
The plan kicks in day one toward your Medical Bills and will give you a wellness credit after 60 days on the plan. Instead of paying the first $5000-$8000 in deductible like most major medical plans; this will kick in right away toward your bills.
