I wrote this article to inform clients in the state of Washington that yes you do have alternative healthcare options versus the state ran program through Washington Healthplan Finder.
As a broker I hear about the struggles everyday regarding the rising costs of health insurance in each state. Premiums and deductibles are rising every year and networks are shrinking making it harder to find a Doctor/Facility that will be in the network.
The problem with healthcare plans offered through the State Exchanges is these plans offered are income based so many families might not qualify for a tax credit.
These same plans at full price can be anywhere from $600-$1300 a month; maybe higher depending on the age and how many household members are on the policy.
