Health Alliance Announces Virtual Visits for Group Members

New Benefit: Virtual Visit Coverage

Health Alliance excited to begin offering a virtual visit benefit to their members, giving them access to quality healthcare services anytime, anywhere.

As of July 1, 2018, fully insured new and renewing large groups have virtual visit coverage.

This coverage isn’t currently available for Medicare or Individuals. It will be offered across more business lines in January 2019. We’ll share more information closer to that time.

The cost of a virtual visit is the same as a primary care provider office visit copay. Some plans offer a set number of visits for $0. Members will pay their portion of the cost when getting virtual care, and the rest will be billed to Health Alliance. 

Members can talk to a board-certified doctor or counselor 24/7 by phone or by secure video through MDLive.com or the MDLIVE app. They can be seen for more than 50 common conditions, including:

• Acne
• Allergies
• Behavioral health
• Cold/flu
• Cough
• Ear problems
• Fever
• Headache
• Insect bites
• Nausea/vomiting
• Pink eye
• Rash
• Respiratory problems
