Open enrollment dates for 2027 coverage

The open enrollment period for Affordable Care Act (ACA) plans is November 1, 2026 through January 15, 2027 on HealthCare.gov. Some states run their own exchanges with different dates:

• Idaho: ends December 15, 2026
• Rhode Island: ends December 31, 2026
• Illinois and Connecticut: end January 15, 2027
• Massachusetts: ends January 23, 2027
• California, New Jersey, New York and DC: end January 31, 2027

Eligibility

Most U.S. citizens and “lawfully present” immigrants qualify for ACA plans.
