The 2026 open enrollment period for the Affordable Care Act (ACA) in the United States is November 1, 2025 through January 15, 2026 in most states:

Open enrollment begins on November 1, 2025 and ends on January 15, 2026 in most states. However, there are some states with different dates, including: 

Idaho: Open enrollment begins on October 15, 2025 and ends on December 16, 2025

Massachusetts: Open enrollment ends on January 23, 2026

California, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and DC: Open enrollment ends on January 31, 2026

Eligibility

Most U.S. citizens and “lawfully present” immigrants qualify for ACA plans.
