Any Medicare beneficiary who dropped a Medigap policy when they enrolled for the first time in an Medicare Advantage plan, if they are still in the "trial period" is eligible for a Special Enrollment Period (SEP).
Medicare beneficiaries can make a one-time election to disenroll from their first Medicare Advantage plan to Original Medicare. They will also have a guaranteed eligibility period to rejoin a Medigap (Medicare Supplement) plan.
