Can I Drop my MAPD during AEP?

If you are enrolled in a Medicare Advantage Plan and would like to go back to original Medicare, you can do so during Annual Open Enrollment in addition to the regular Disenrollment period. 

Steps to Drop the MAPD and go back to Original Medicare:

1. Enroll in a Part D drug plan. 

2. The enrollment in a new Part D plan will disenroll you from the MAPD you currently have. 

3. One Disenrolled from the current MAPD, you can choose a Medicare supplemental plan along with the Part D you have chosen above.
